Page Pushing & Page Pushing Schedule
First, I am going to refer to those we hire to help with the archives and real time Help Desk as “page pushers”…even though they may not in fact “push: any pages. Next, I am going to use the term “Schedule” here in the hopes that we adopt that term -Schedule - for purposes of guiding the “page pushers”.Later, we can define the exact nature and duties of the “page pushers”, but in any event I believe they should be viewing the simplest and “cleanest” Schedule(s) that we can give them. The Schedule(s) will simply has less information on it that the Timetable(s); but they will have at least the following:
There will be a Schedule for each Port of Call, to include Opening and Closing.
Arabic numbers representing each five minute segment will be at the far left. The next column is GMTwhich is fixed; and next to it is Your Local Time which has a hyperlink to the World Time Clock, as viewed here, for example.
The next column would indicate if the segment was recorded or live. If recorded, it would be hyperlinked to an html page which gives a brief description of the recording. (which page can be created here on the blog); that gives the page pusher an immediate “heads up” that the recording is to be played — or a real human being is to come on board.
I do not envision pushing any pages…but it may be that there will be an index page to slides, which shall not be allowed to number more than two slides per five minute segment. Slides would be Arabic numbered as per the Slot Number — 244(a) 244 (b). Again, these slides, if they are to be provided at all, can be “numbered” on a blog page easily uploaded with the url of same inserted into the Page Pushing Schedule.

We’ve created the tentative layout on the www.letsgoexpo.com system. Here is the link:
http://letsgoexpo.com/Expo/index.cfm?EID=80000022&p=0
It does not have the correct scheduling format (5 minute increments, and we’ll be configuring the speaker and exhibitor processes very shortly. Also the Presentation Halls will will be links to appropriate schedules, throughout which will lead the visitor to the Conference Room (only one other than the Help and the CAFE). Looking GOOD!
