Snapshot - e-Education Market for Bloodhound

Sun Microsystem’s C.E.O., Scott McNealy, has repeatedly opined that “The killer application of the Internet is education and training.” Not only do we whole-heartedly agree, we are convinced there is a substantial role for Bloodhound in this arena.

The core element in all classroom deliveries is the acquisition of carefully considered educational materials used by motivated instructors comfortable with use of new technology. There are millions of these people, well-evidenced by entities like e-Pals (6.7 million subscribers); Marco-Polo, (networked with several hundred thousand teachers); Educause, (more than a million members).

Bloodhound offers firms such as these a unique search tool that can be widely used by both teachers and learners. In addition to supplementing and complementing existing research methods, large educational institutions and counter-part membership groups can earn substantial (pay-per-click) income by partnering with Bloodhound.

Following the Google model, those revenues are earned from small advertisements where offers from vendors are programmed to match the content displayed next to the ad.

Once use of the “Hounds” has “caught”, the number of daily page views from those in the education arena could be in the millions. Which membership group would not welcome Bloodhound as a great way to enhance research at the same time they enjoyed large increases in revenues from use of Bloodhound tools?

NOTE: A modest amount of subscrition revenue is also anticipated.
