Dublin Radio, A model for very large audiences

Over the last decade, on nine round-the-world “voyages”, we have stopped in many unusual places and met with many hundreds of exceptional people. We have connected them with just about everything but two tin cans tied to a string - ham radio from Antarctica; cell phone from sailing boats; video streaming from cam corders in Nepal; recorded messages by Skype from the sub-Sahara. In all of that, I would be hard pressed to say which was the “best” one. But if I had to “vote” today, it might well be our stop in an Irish radio station in Dublin lead by a guy by the name of Jack Byrne. Click here for the program for the Dublin stop. (more…)

In the last few weeks I’ve been looking at Bloodhoundsearch Technologies, a brand new company that offers something we all need — a very personal search engine. It’s still got some bumps to flatten out, and it needs some “human hands” (for dummies) like me, but today we made our first stab at an e-learning portal where Bloodhound does all the work.
